Pokestop missing

I would like to ask for help in checking why the Pokestop poles have disappeared even though these Pokestop still in use.

This is not a bug. There appears to be many Wayspots in this area, which is what we are actually nominating with Wayfarer, not stops/gyms for PoGo or portals for Ingress.

Approved Wayspots get added to the Spatial/Lightship map, which is used by all Niantic games to determine game play locations, with some exceptions. Each game has their own density/inclusion rules; PoGo uses S2 cells and Ingress uses a 20 meter rule. More info on S2 cells with PoGo can be found here:

It appears that there are more than 2 Wayspots in the L17 S2 cell, and only 1 stop/gym can be in a L17 S2 cell.

Unused Wayspots may get used as Power Spots from time to time in PoGo, so it’s possible that these Wayspots may still get used in the game.

If they were pokestops before, seems like there probably was a rebalance of waypoints as there was probably more pokestops/gyms than there should have been. Currently there can only be 1 pokestop/gym per L17 S2 cell.

Or if they were recently edited to these positions, the status in Pokemon Go could have been recalculated because of that.

This shows the portals in those cells, and there could be even more Wayspots that don’t show in Ingress.
