Pokestop rejected

So let me get this straight, in the town of Chester VA where I live almost every single street corner is a pokestop with absolutely no picture or description. There are literally dozens and dozens of them. Many of which you’d have to stand along the side of the highway to use and that’s 100% fine with everyone.
Yet a garden dedicated to an actual Air Force Veteran, which included all asked for pictures and a description that is located at the end of a residential street that people walk up and down all day and is adjacent to a field where cars can’t go isn’t good enough?
What an absolute joke this community and game have become

Welcome

Those street corner without picture is new wayspot testing to help populate area when there arent any wayspot. Those import doesnt follow normal wayfarer criteria

Anyway if you disagree with the rejection, you have 2 option :

  1. Appeal (you have 2 appeals, each with 15days cooldown)
  2. resubmit with better evidence/foto. If you share your nomination here, other wayfarer can advise if its possible to improve your nomination.

Can we see the rejection reason? If its rejected by AI it means no human review it yet.

Welcome to the forums

The street corners are not fine with everyone. Lots of them were created on single-family private residential property (SFPRP) or in the road, but Niantic want each one to be reported separately before considering removing them. In one case, they moved a street corner wayspot from the SFPRP and put it into the road.

They have not been marked properly to make it obvious that are an import/experiment, and look just like regular pokestops (although without a picture or description), so it is easy to think they are acceptable.

They do not meet submission crireria and a lot of them break eligibility rules for location.

Your submission has nothing to do with them. Your submission might be eligible, but have other issues (location wrong, access problems, poor description, people in photo, car licence plate in photo, duplicate) or might not be eligible (nothing to indicate it is a garden dedicated to a veteran, doesn’t look like a garden, just a single flower bed with no bench etc).

If you post details, you can get advice on your submission

Welcome to the forum.

Sorry you feel that way.

Is this is someone’s yard? SFPRP (Single Family Private Residential Property) locations are ineligible. At least for Wayfarer submissions. Those experimental street corner signs that Niantic placed themselves are the exception that I cannot understand. The strict rules around SFPRP are because of past lawsuits against Niantic.
