Thought my gazebos were bad lol
I’m scared to look at São Paulo
World champion thank you very much. We also passed through a flooding recently, give it some slack.
Sorry.
The biggest club in the world.
That was a few years ago, you are forgiven.
Is there anything more egregious than adding a hospital?
Yes! Adding somewhere that’s uses the spelling Expresso!
Keep looking something is bound to turn up😎
I really love how niantic are SO insistent about their cells and high quality waypoints and then prove for all these big events that more is better and stuff the map full of absolute junk that is piled on top of each other and barely playable and call it good…
I think they’re not aiming it at us.
They’re aiming it at app developers who can pull whatever data they want, and manually curate what they pulled. Like: select categories art, mural, statue, sculpture into a private database - then delete (from the app developer’s database) Wayspots that were mislabeled. Then create an app that gives people a tour of art in the city. In this scenario, no one would ever see the hospital.
Still seems like a potential mess. No photos, outdated information, duplicates.
Thanks to google and stack overflow, it can be decoded into unicode fancy text - “𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄 Skin & Spa”.
Could be

I feel for the abuse team having to handle reports on low-quality wayspots that have made it in the database through another high quality import.
For me it’s another nail in the coffin unfortunately.
Duplicates, ineligible places duplicated, hospitals, police stations, beauty parlours, chicken and mutton shops, Phones 4U, TyresRUs, no picture, incorrect titles, no descriptions, incorrect location
Look through the forum here and there are people discussing the minutiae of eligibility and explaining to others how Wayfarer functions.
Making appeals on incorrectly rejected submissions.
Replying to people who ask where is my Pokestop over and over.
The list goes on and on Tesco, Mens Warehouse, edit rejections, crop your picture, do this, do that, jump through this hoop, don’t discuss this
Why should I review and reject another Wayfarer when Niantic themselves are not willing to follow their own rules?
Why should I spend 30+ minutes of my own time just to get another P0kest0p?
It’s not like they haven’t done this before and I’m sure they’ll do it again and keep ignoring us. Ultimately I think Niantic as an entity are either schizophrenic or liars. Probably both.
They just want to be the ones to add all the garbage themselves. When we do it, it’s a problem. When they do it, it’s all good.
Are you @Ambassadors in exchange with niantic on this?
It’s only an exchange if the Ambassadors are seeing more than
We’ve heard your concerns and it’s something that we are looking to improve upon in the future
What kind of influence or say do you think a Wayfarer Ambassador has over
We have this goal in mind of making Sao Paulo as playable as a city, as, for example, Tokyo or San Francisco. And our team constantly thinks about how we can get there, and also being very mindful of player safety.
The thing I just mentioned about how we are interacting with governments and talking with them to boost playability by increasing the number of PokeStops per square kilometre. And we are going to be adding more than a million PokeStops in Brazil over the next six months.
Alan Mandujano, Head of Operations in LATAM at Niantic.
I wonder if all of these new POIs will be imported to other games besides Pokémon. Since this is now the Wayfarer base, it could impact gameplay and future new POIs that are already in the queue. I’ve been waiting since this was imported to Pokémon to see it in other games, but until now, nothing else has happened.
I’ve been speechless one moment, but now I’m back on track.
It is perfectly possible, that niantic decided to throw in a bunch of data, which can be sorted out by the locals.
But emergency services and K-12?
I hear the coins in lawyers money-sack
To ramp up engagement, Niantic had added around 1 million real-world points of interest – better known by gamers as “Pokestops” – in India in the past year, and now plans to add another 4 million in the next 12 months.
We want to make sure that everybody goes out and has an experience that at least has five Pokestops within a 1-mile radius
Omar Tellez, vice-president, emerging markets, Niantic
As with our previous Wayspot additions, we took your feedback about quality into consideration and audited these Wayspots to ensure that they meet our criteria. If you come across a Wayspot that you feel infringes our Wayfarer criteria, please report it through the appropriate reporting processes.
@NianticTintino 2023
Do you think it would be inappropiate to tag @NianticLC in this topic?
Maybe that was my last post.
Love you all
