It may protect your account from the valid rejections and potential warnings/bans.
We can’t guarantee acceptance via community review even if you do everything right. But better attempts should increase the probability of a valid decision.
You can try to clarify the allowance for shared-use facilities in the supporting text:
Appeals can be made too if community review declines a valid acceptance.
As a guide from the future, don’t use photos from the internet, or photos that you didn’t personally take. You shouldn’t get demotivated as the system worked as intended. Although the reasons weren’t correct for the rejection. The rejection was it’s self correct. If you go out and take your pwn photos, I bet the POI will be accepted. Good luck.

You can’t edit the photos and location pinned after you pressed “Submit”. Only nominations “In Queue” can text be edited. Remote submissions allow for 10km from your real location at the moment of submission.
You can take many photos of the subject, make minor aesthetic adjustments, and curate these before submitting. I know you are capable of image adjustments as the watermarks from the submitted photos have been removed.
Punishment for a wayspot nomination done right is not valid and can be appealed with great possibility. What is way more punishable is using photos from the internet, mis-pinning, and faking locations (using images from other places included).
You get 2 appeals, once an appeal is used it will return after 15 days whatever the outcome.
I highly suggest that you do not Appeal this one as stated using photos that you did not take is classed as Abuse and can cause suspensions to both Wayfarer and any Games…
It is even recommended not to use the photo you take anywhere else on the internet, Reviewers will not be able to confirm they are from the same person.
Make another nomination using your own photos (and text) and I am confident it will be Accepted, even if it isn’t you have a good reason to appeal without risking your accounts.
It is unlikely to be one of us that will be voting…
The usual process is that it will be checked by the AI (Machine Learning, eMiLy) around 24 hours after you uploaded. If that doesn’t identify anything wrong there will be a random delay then it will be sent to Local Reviewers for voting.
That’s the observed behavior, considering only community-inputted wayspots. Sponsorships and other game-related inputs can have make more gyms and pokestops than observed.
