It has worked for me in the past with Gmail.
I guess it is kind of a crazy idea, was just sending ideas that might work.

Iāve always had the switch on and I get maybe 1 email a week from PGo. For me, itās not a big deal.
Instead of controlling all emails with a single on/off switch,
canāt we have a separate on/off setting just for Wayfarer?
This is what I suggested.
It would be nice if in the pokestops/gyms there was a statistics section! How many spins? How many scans? How many Showcase entries?
This would be something that PoGo would have to consider implementing, not Wayfarer.
Considering the email is already going to be telling us how many visits and unique players are engaging with our Wayspots, adding spins and scans doesnāt seem outside of their scope.
I donāt think they are asking for this in an email, but at the stops/gyms themselves.
Probably my favorite feature also consider I have so many empty area that I want to submit. Chruch, temple here we GO!
There is a nice definition of soon here.
Soonā¦. could be tomorrowā¦. next week, next year or never. I am hoping itās not neverā¦..
I hope one day the map, if one will exist, will highlight possible nominations we could submit, with the help of AI, and also tell us of any geo-blocked areas so that we can avoid nominating stuff that will never make it in the game.
Seeing these stats is really exciting, as the real world impact and bringing Wayspots to a previously blank area is what motivates me to use Wayfarer. However, as others have stated in this topic, I really dislike that this is tied to opting into marketing emails. Iām an active Pokemon Go player, but I check the news tab myself and therefore do not want to opt into marketing emails related to ongoing events, promotions and the like. I think itās a real bummer if this feature cannot be distinguished from marketing emails in the settings: if the only way to access this feature is to opt-in to marketing emails, I will just unfortunately have to sit these exciting stats out, as I do not want to opt-in to the other emails. To the dev team, please look into making these a seperate setting (within Wayfarer and/or PoGo), it would be greatly appreciated.
Not a big fan of this idea, part of the fun of wayfarer is hunting down the location, even better when you are not even looking for possible nominations, see something, think that must already be in the game, check, find out it isnāt then nominate.
I believe AI would be better used either during nomination or during review.
I think we are panicking before we now whatās going to happen.
I would prefer an option to select the wayfarer email only but I have selected the option to receive anyway.
I will see how much I like to see the stats and way that up with how much marketing bumph I receive.
I can then make the decision whether to continue or switch it off.
My idea with AI isnāt to be exhaustive, but help find some nominations that could be acceptable. I know there are pitfalls to the idea.
It is a pain point that these emails are requiring the marketing switched on in PokƩmon go. You could toggle it back off as soon as you receive it, and set a reminder for about 26 days time to toggle it back on again. Very messy but it would keep you partially in control of what you are receiving. Clearly not a long term solution, but worth a try??
They will be going to my Gmail account where all the stuff that I donāt care too much about goes.
Any āimportantā emails go to a different account so its not a big problem.
That might not work - it would depend at what point they run the selection of who to include in the email so you run the risk of missing it by a few days if someone pulls it early/late one month - not to mention we donāt actually know the timelines on it
This is true but if its meant to cover that month then toggling a couple of days before the end of that month should cover it I think.
I like this although I was going to ask eventually if the Poke stops and Gyms could have a counter on them somewhere showing how many times they were visited.
