Rejection after rejection

Hi!

I live in a historically rich area in Sweden—one of only three places like this in the country. I have been trying to create waypoints for individual houses and for features such as a very old stone bridge. Since there are many trails in the area, I also want to create some routes.

So far, I have submitted many nominations. Four have been accepted, but at the time of writing, more than 13 have been rejected.

Is there anyone from the staff who could review my nominations and help me understand what I might be doing wrong? All of the nominated locations either have historical significance or serve as trail markers.

I don’t expect all of them to be accepted, but it would be great to be able to create routes both around the houses and along the trails.

Good day and welcome to the forum! I am not staff but a fellow Wayfinder like you.

You may post your contributions as seen at Niantic Wayfarer

In particular, anything in single-family private residential properties are wholly ineligible:

The criteria clarification for Trails & Markers are also available.

As for routes, it is a Pokémon GO feature rather than Wayfarer related. They have a different set of guidelines found here Routes Guidelines — Pokémon GO Help Center

While there are similarities with the Wayfarer criteria, I emphasize that there are also significant differences (gated communal areas are still allowable within the Wayfarer criteria, routes prohibit going into these). Thus, some game objects might therefore be not eligible for routes.

Hi!

Thanks for your answer, this place is a an old, in lack of better words, hospice. Were a swedish king built three “peoples” hospices around Sweden at the 1900 and there are one main building and a lot of servants quarters and support buildings like smithy, wood work shop, metal work shop etc. The place was self sustaining and modern for its time. So a lot of history around this area and it’s a for public open area.

Hålahult Sanatorium of you are interested

It does seem interesting!

The Nipleden nature trail passes along the river Ångermanälven and through the nature reserve Granvågsniporna as well as Österåsen.

The article does mention some capacity of public access however I not quite sure what “competence center” means from Google translate. You might need a more local insight if this is a sensitive location or not as well.

While the history may be attributed to the structure as a whole, it is important that the nomination is specifically meets at least one of the three pillars:

  • A great place for exploration
  • A great place for exercise
  • A great place to be social with others

So the individual features may need further elaboration on its historical significance or relevanace wrt the pillars. Let’s see some examples if you’re open to it.
