I want to request guidance on removing a Wayspot known as “Apex Library” at Apex Arts Academy, Boring Road, Patna, Bihar, India.
The Wayspot was recently removed from the game despite the location continuing to exist in the real world. Apex Arts Academy is a well-established educational institution with a physical location, permanent signage, and an active Google Maps listing. The institution remains operational and accessible.
What concerns me is that prior to the removal, a local player publicly stated on Discord that they intended to report and get the Wayspot removed. I have screenshots showing this individual specifically mentioning the Apex Library and claiming they would have it removed. While I cannot prove that the removal was caused by these reports, the timing has raised concerns that the Wayspot may have been targeted through repeated reporting rather than being evaluated solely on its real-world existence.
I would appreciate clarification on the following:
Was the Wayspot removed because the object/location was determined not to exist?
Was it removed because the original Wayspot title, description, or photo no longer accurately represented the real-world location?
Is there an appeal process available if the location can be verified with current photographs and supporting evidence?
My goal is not to accuse any individual without proof, but rather to understand whether a legitimate Wayspot may have been removed in error and whether it can be reviewed for reinstatement.
There are multiple issues with this location. There is no library called Apex Library at this location. The K2 library is not a library in the typical sense but a place for students to study.
The Apex Institute as a whole is ineligible as well since it primarily focuses on K-12 students. We stand by our decision to remove this Wayspot.

Niantic staff review all removal request . You are in correct place, by appealing for wayspot removal, you are asking niantic to recheck this wayspot.
Wayspot wise though, i am not sure whats your main foto about. I assume its library but i cant see it. If you want to appeal for its removal what you need is to take new photo to proof that the wayspot still exist.
When I’ve checked the website for this art school, it seems to be a school for what we in the UK would call sixth form, which is 16-18 year olds. Is this information correct? If so, it’s quite possible that it was reported for removal as what Niantic term a K-12 or under educational facility (basically a school for ages 18 and under).
I have merged your multiple posts and removed Discord conversation screenshots. Please do not use appeals to escalate local conflicts or accuse anyone - thanks for your understanding.
As @hankwolfman said above a Google listing might not be sufficient as an argument for an appeal - in this specific case it’s evidence of it not being a school directed to minors that might help.
No it’s not a school for children it’s an academy for students studying Bachelor in Arts which is after class 12th and this academy library is what I nominated.
You are welcome to say in your appeal that you suspect this to be an incorrect removal, which you did. There is no need to share exchanges with specific individuals.
I am not very familiar with the education system in your area, but the very header of the website you provide seems to be contradictory with “bachelor after 12th grade only”.
Ok i can understand the confusion, It’s not a school like KG-12 rather it’s a coaching institute mainly focusing on BA students but they(11th,12th students) can also come to learn one or two subjects. It’s a training institute as mentioned in the website.
Coaching Institues are way different than the typical schools as they are focused more on cracking specific exams rather typical different subjects learning of schools.
Coaching acts as a buffer institute between Schools and Colleges/ Universities. And I believe these coaching institutes doesn’t come under K-12 rule if I’m correct.
A place that is teaching/coaching any kind of study that focus on below 18 year old(or 12th grade and below) will be ineligible.
That apply to any school or any place that teach thing, for example, an art school will be ineligible if they only teach any age range below 18, but will be eligible if they are for all age.
You said it by yourself, and the website that also said they are focusing for below 18 teaching, hence why it is ineligible.
understood thanks, but what about someone local purposefully reporting it so that gyms get removed? A new gym has spawnned here which is a local temple, what if he removes it?
