I have taken a look in the area.

I think I might have the reason why it was removed though. This playground has another waypspot connected to it, which makes this one a duplicate.

it is called The Monkey Jungle Playground.

How are you seeing Monkey Jungle Playground? I looked at 1.435703,103.793413 on the wayfarer map (and submission map) and couldn’t see any wayspots for this playground.

The actual Monkey jungle playground is located between the pin and the pokestop, and the POI has a image that looks like this one

Right there in front of my eyes, which ignored it because it was on a corner…

Thanks for the appeal, @IalLaIccl We gave this a second look and decided to restore the Wayspot in question.

Unfortunately the restored Wayspot (circled in blue)
now appears as a spot used in other Niantic games rather than a Pokemon Go Gym which used to be. Based on the in-game location map attached, any chance for others nearby Pokestop to convert into a Gym? Any expert here can advise?

Can you give the long / lat co-ordinates.

The most likely answer is the proximity rule that states that only 1 waypoint to be a Stop / Gym within a cell.

Sometimes you will get 2 in a cell but 1 should be removed when Niantic “re-calc” the location.

Since there can only be one pokething per L17 S2 cell, it will not be able to appear in pokemon go as a pokestop or gym. There can only be three gyms in a L14 S2 cell, and there are three already. So for the time being neither this nor other nearby wayspots can become a gym
