Hi everyone, on December 23, 2025, I requested a sandbox as a PokéStop (-20.261817, -40.301624) and it was accepted on December 25th. But since then, it still hasn’t appeared in the game. Yes, I checked beforehand if the cell was empty and it was. Could you help me?
It might have been moved during review and appeared in a different location than you expected. This will happen if the submission location is incorrect and reviewers notice this.
You can check the actual location of a wayspot by going to the wayspot submission process in Pokemon Go and looking at the map - you have to be physically there to do this.
However, this cell may be occupied - is Campo de Futebol de Antônio Honório showing?
What did you use to see if the cell was free?
The waypoint is South of your stated Co-ordinates but both are still in a shared cell with “Campo de Futebol de Antônio Honório”.
I always use this site: Ingress S2 Cell Map and I was using two phones, one with the game and the other with the map open. I was on the other phone when I made the request. Anyway, the request became a max point, which is ridiculous. Thanks.
Ingress is no longer part of Wayfarer thus their map is no longer up to date.
As noted, due to the split in May 2025, the Ingress Intel Map (and thus IITC) isn’t up to date for Pokémon GO
Which one should I use?
You are free to use any map that can help you accurately place the pin. Due to the split however, you may see discrepancies in IITC for existing wayspots in Scopely’s database. The web submit map will show you the existing wayspots at the moment of submission.
An accepted wayspot is not guaranteed to appear in the preferred game(s). The wayspots are still subject to each game’s inclusion algorithms that determine how they will be used. Why an accepted Wayspot may not be used in Pokemon Go (S2 cells and Pokemon Go)
