Hello, this wayspot was recently removed from Pokémon GO, where it used to be a PokéStop with a Showcase. This is the second time it was removed, the first time it re-appeared after a few months. Both removals happened before the more recent Showcase update in the game, and there were also no changes to other wayspots nearby. It just vanished for no apparent reason.
The first time it was removed, I didn’t post about it here and just accepted it, but since it happened again, I’d like to ask if it could be enabled again or if someone could tell me why it was removed.

Update June 16: After the PokéStop with the Showcase re-appeared, it was unusable for a few days, but became usable again in time for today’s Showcase. So everything worked out well
This is showing as a wayspot that is specifically Inactive. Oddly, due to the other wayspots here, I don’t think it could ever get used anyway, as the pokestop Plan der Festung Lemgo, 1646 now occupies this cell and is within 22m, so Begaterassen im Auenpark Bega couldn’t be a pokestop, gym or get used as a powerspot.
There isn’t anything obvious that indicates why it was disabled, as it looks legitimate. You would need a comment from Niantic or a DM if you feel the need to investigate it further (but it would be of no benefit due to the gameboard here).

Hi Aaron, thanks for replying so quickly. I came here because I was advised to ask if maybe the PokéStop could be enabled again, as it is a Showcase Stop. From my understanding, it’s disabled due to the presence of another Stop in the same cell, right? Would it be possible to enable this one and instead disable the other one, Plan der Festung Lemgo, 1646? This way, the Showcase would return as well.
I understand your disappointment but Wayfarer has no control over which Wayspot becomes which type of in-game location. This is an automated process free of any manual control.
I understand, but what I’m asking is: Since a PokéStop with a Showcase is of course more important for the community, would it be possible to reactivate the one from the OP (Begaterassen im Auenpark Bega) and deactive the other one (Plan der Festung Lemgo, 1646)? There would still be only one PokéStop in that cell, but it would be one with a Showcase.
Aaron has already given you the answer. The wayfarer team have no control over which wayspots are used in Pokémon Go. As another Pokéstop took the place of this one, that cannot be undone by the wayfarer team.
There was recently an update to which Pokéstops can host showcases, and there’s now a lot more of them than there used to be. It’s possible the cell that this wayspot is in will get a new showcase Pokéstop somewhere down the line.
Ah, then I misunderstood him, I thought he meant no control regarding if the Stop has a Showcase or not.
But now the other stop is gone too… that’s what I get for posting here, great^^
Edit: Now the Stop I asked about in the OP is back, but sadly without Showcase I feared this might happen with the Showcase update that took place while the Stop was gone. But thank you everyone for the replies and explanations, nonetheless!
For some reason, the PokéStop has no image/description and can’t be spun, giving a “Network error” response. So I’m not sure what’s going on. Maybe it needs time to update? I’ll report back next Tuesday if the Showcase appeared or whatever else happened in the meantime
