Can anyone help me understand why my stop was not approved? I thought it met all the criteria. What am I missing?
The first thing to think about when finding something to submit is the key criteria - Exercise, Social, Exploration.
It is not sufficient for something to be a place when you can exercise, can be social, can explore, as that is almost everything everywhere.
It needs to be something that specifically encourages exercise, socialisation or exploration (outside of Niantic games).
This is a neighbourhood/condominium sign. It names the condominium. Are you able to see that it doesn’t meet any of the key criteria?
These signs are often accepted, mostly by reviewers who don’t really care about the criteria but just want more pokestops, especially in the urban deserts in the US.
The nomination was rejected by AI, so no human reviewers were able to look at your nomination. Often the AI will reject a nomination if it can’t distinguish something special in the picture.
You could appeal, but I also don’t think the appeal reviewers will approve it.
In general the community signs are very difficult to get accepted, as most people just don’t think they are special enough.
We see two exceptions, sometimes a community sign is indeed a work of art and should be accepted. And the other exception is that in some areas reviewers actually have different standards, so in some areas you will see several of these signs approved.
That is also the beauty of the concept, local reviewers are supposed to know best if a wayspot is appropriate. I often use the UK postboxes as an example. I’ve never heard of anyone talking about how special a particular postbox is (and I have been to the UK a lot), but the local reviewers have a different opinion, so many (of the older ones) have been approved.
So if you think your local community is likely to approve this nomination, you will have to try some different pictures to try and pass the AI test, and you may succeed, but it won’t be easy.
Title codo??!!!
Support.photo , never has that place name sign in support photo , in different angle of photo. , but U can appeal
