Submitting in Stoke on Trent

Trust me I made good ones before and they didn’t put them in game and I need more Pokémon stops in my area and it’s not fair at all sometimes I feel like walking away from the game when u only got 1 are to stops around u I have go far to get loads

If you want some help and advice then you can make a topic in Nomination Support and share screenshots of what was rejected :yellow_heart: hopefully we can help. If they were trails like this topic is about then sometimes its a simple case of trying again, unfortunately. Would love to help though, I get how frustrating it can be

Hello and welcome @ruthlessishere
Fellow wayfinders are always happy to help in Nomination Support
You can post rejected ones so we can see if they can be improved.
If you give the rough area we can look around for what might be suiable.

If you mean that they were approved but didn’t become stops or gyms, there is an additional requirement that staff have allowed me to post about: Why an accepted Wayspot may not be used in Pokemon Go (S2 cells and Pokemon Go)

There should be lots of potential around there.

Just was hoping for more that’s all tbh because I don’t get out as much because I get pain in my legs and sometimes they shut down and I can’t walk and if had the money I get a electric scooter and play but I don’t so I always spin the same stop every time

Good legitimate submissions rarely get rejected. Submissions which are ineligible, or don’t meet criteria, or aren’t as described, or are mislocated, but the submitter believes are good submissions, do get rejected.

The explanation is often that the submitter doesn’t know what makes a good wayspot. Posting here and getting advice from fellow wayfarers is a very good way of understanding wayspots better, finding out what is good to submit, and adding new pokestops and gyms to Pokemon Go.

You might need to tighten up on “Stoke/Burton” as an area, as that is quite a large area. The centre of Burton-on-Trent is well populated so I doubt that is the area you are trying to populate.

with the proximity rules, it is unlikely that you will be able to crowd stops and gyms around a single location, if that is what you were hoping for.

I’m going to split this into its own topic in Nomination Support.

Yes something like a road name or co ordinates would be good.

I understand how it is to not get out much with health issues!

One thing I’d recommend is to focus on places where you would get out to, even if it’s not every day or every week, so that when you get there you get the opportunity to spin some stops and play on site. You can build areas a bit at a time as and when you have good days :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

If you have a favourite pub, cafe or restaurant that you’d visit periodically, those make some excellent submissions! If you have a gym, swimming or pilates membership, those kinds of great places to exercise can be accepted too. If you have a park you enjoy visiting when you can, then try to submit places around the park like the main sign, additional entrances, play equipment, noticeboards, or seating areas/picnic benches.

I tryed the road name before and it didn’t work go through but I will try again and Ty for your help

The road name wouldn’t be accepted sadly - because it’s not a place to socialise, exercise or explore. Submissions have to be a good place to do at least 1 of the 3

The road name (or gps coordinates) was asked for to try to help look for suitable candidates nearby, or even see if it is possible to add more game locations there. Be aware that this is a public forum and you have already said that you don’t want to leave your home if you choose to share the location.

Another tip I have is to keep an eye out for community notice boards - they are often at supermarkets. If its got details of local clubs or groups on it, then that would be a great thing to try as well. Usually they are rejected by the community and accepted on appeal for me :yellow_heart:

You hope so. I had to post here about a rejected appeal for a supermarket community notice board in order to get the appeal approved

Which of the towns that make up Stoke are you closest to?
I’m reasonably familiar with the Potteries

Lol, you mentioned good things are rarely rejected so I have no sympathy :laughing:

In my experience a lot of good stuff is still quite hit and miss, so getting the help from amazing wayfarers is really helpful :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I’m next to Longton and if I don’t get near my area I will just ring up NHS ask for crutches so I don’t fall as much

Ah did you mean Blurton rather than Burton
