Suggestion - More Appeals

Hello! I’m new to the forums but started nominating about a month ago. I’ve noticed that the automatic bot denies some eligible nominations, maknly those with “generic” benches but provides great views. I do not have close to enough appeals to appeal all of the bot rejected eligible nominations, so here are my suggestions:

  1. Increase appeal holding limit to 5 and make accepted appeals refund back to you. Appeals that are not accepted will not refund an appeal due to the rejection being correct in that case.

  2. With the new ranking system, make it give more appeals just like it gives more nominations. Maybe the base level can give the normal rate, while the 2nd level gives 1 appeal every 10 days, 3rd every 5 days, 4th every 3 days, and 5th 1 every day. Obviously these can be adjusted but just an idea.

Also, sorry if this is not the right place to post this, I didn’t post it in forum suggestions as this is a wayfarer suggestion, not a forum suggestion.

More appeals are a common topic of discussion on the forums.

On a personal note I am not a “Big Numbers” nominator so it wouldn’t make any difference to me but I see it would for others.

The only problem is if Niantic raised it to 5 it wouldn’t be long before people are asking for 10 :frowning:

They have been making changes recently so maybe this is on the cards…

Don’t you get more appeals once your rating rank improves?

I would like it to scale to submission cap. 360 cap gets 16 appeals, 160 cap gets 8 appeals, etc.

And getting an appeal back due to incorrect review by ML or community would be great! Feels like getting penalized to use up an appeal (when they’re so limited!) when the mistake wasn’t on my end.

Didn’t know that, thanks for clarifying! That would indeed be a nice upgrade and incentivize people to do more reviews!
