The best photos in the world

Fancy seeing you here

Actually I’ll throw another in the ring. Just took another look at everything I’ve gotten accepted over the past few months, and realized this submission’s photos turned out a lot better than I remember at a military college where I went on a big nominating spree in August

The support photo especially is much more of a banger than I remember:

The lake scene, the stairs scene, the gazebo scene, the dining scene, and the cabin scenes were filmed in Virginia. North Carolina was mostly the end ballroom scene.

There are signs all over the resort property depicting the scenes that were filmed in various places. The lake scenes were filmed there. Unfortunately, the lake has mostly dried up.

I only got this photo because it properly snowed in the midlands in england for the first time in ages. I felt like i had to get at least one photo to add on to a wayspot

There’s a little easter egg in the background that I didn’t notice that I captured until I got home.

Car in a ditch. Unlucky

These are my best pics at the moment. The first one is a planetarium and the other is an astronomical observatory, both run by the State and part of a public school.

And these are from a commercial and residential complex block near my home. The passageway is a nice place, but unfortunately it wasn’t accepted. The fountains are still to be nominated.

Hunter Park Sculpture. You can sit on the sculpture and just enjoy the mornings.

Old Vickery House. I nearly got it right with everything in proportion.

Grassy Knoll. Fish lips. Amazing mosaic art - playground entities…

Bronte Picnic shelter. Watch sunrise. Surfing. swimming and life go by

Bronti picnic tables near the bogey hole and swimming pool. Amazing spot little used. Great views

My fave art piece and my first

e

Alstoneflield Church. The nomination was for the war memorial. But I kinda got a neat different shot

I spent many shots. Many nominations. Many angles to get this working pier accepted to the marina. What was accepted first was the naming sign for the restaurant (( which someone else did )). But I thought the pier, marina was more worthy so kept going… Cafe at end behind blue boat. Lovely to watch the day start. NOT the best nomination photo. But was super pleased to succeed.

Sure the pictures are not great. But all nominations and all ones I say yeah looks good, feels good or a lovely reminder. And more importantly make me smile.

Thanks to everyone else for sharing

I also got this

Bondi Beach Surf Life Guard tower. Just like it… I spent yonks running up and down sand running on that beach under that tower ((before sand running was a thing and Bondi was the hot place to be seen - when I started maybe saw a couple of fools like me - when I stopped hundreds of people using beach as gym - I mean how selfish I had it all to myself for so long and then they spoil it :slight_smile (yes I am selfish but it was my escape to run in silence with no-one around as the day broke)). So again not about the great shot. It is about the memories with the place. IF you zoom in the photo on the right hand side next to the open door - you can see a surfer riding a wave in the photo…

I like this @AliceWonder1511 . Your footbridge. Because. The mundane made beautiful. It is not an amazing architectual heritage place - well used by the masses. But a place you can see just walking. The kinda scene that is part of the experience of just getting out and walking.

I raise your dash of snow with a dash of yellow flowers

Anyone else. And no Doctor. The Firth of Forth bridge does not count… :slightly_smiling_face:
