Have you had any luck yet with the one at 53.414576555667956, -1.3209384729644684, which is also facing away from the road so the cypher is not visible on streetview. I have threatened to come by and add a photosphere, but haven’t made it over there yet (haven’t forgotten!)

Silly me - that road is so long I thought it might have two. I was looking forward to coming over, adding the photosphere and then submitting lots of PROW markers, but that might not happen now 
Sorry Was just walking past so decided to give it another go.
There is another already in game at the Asda end of the road over 1.5 miles away…
That’s OK - the important thing was getting it accepted (congrats!). I have so many other places to go to find PROW markers that I have a two month backlog of images on my phone. (maybe not all trail markers…)

So the lesson to be learned is you need Emily to be off duty to get anywhere with postboxes?

The previous Rejections included by the Community.
They are of a type that is commonly accepted, it seems that I was just unlucky.
I don’t expect every one of my nominations to be accepted straight away and I had almost given up on this one.
It’s a location I drive past often but only walk past occasionally. It just happened that I walked past so took new images and nominated when I returned home.
Don’t think eMiLy been off had anything to do with it. It’s a POI that meets criteria it can just take a few goes until it gets the correct result.
that’s a great idea - I’ve just had a rejection and appeal rejection of an Edward VII box, even though it’s over 100 years old and first of its kind in design.
Unfortunately it doesnt work anymore lol,
The ai got wise to my tactic, it now just rejects any post box I put through no matter what I call it

I did remove the word Postbox from the Title but I left it in the description, I may have got through during the recent AI downtime.
I have seen others recently be accepted when the AI was active so it’s not a complete block of postboxes it just seems to be harder work than it should be.
@hobblethobbs Did you link to this thread in your Appeal and explain the precedent of acceptance for pre ERII postboxes and that it is under the “Explore” criteria?

I hadn’t considered linking to this thread for postboxes. I guess that I think regular Wayfarers wouldn’t want to look at a thread that’s nearly 500 posts deep about postboxes.
What is wrong with you? Who wouldn’t want to read 500 posts about post boxes?

Unless you have an visceral hatred for anything produced by “AI”
(I am aware that Ingress supports the creation of “AI” tools by Niantic Spatial.)
The link was more for appeals, we have to remember that for most of the world postboxes are not eligible so we may have to remind the “appeal staff” the position in the UK.
Try calling it a Gaze….. no…. resist…. resist….
