Hi, Im new here.
Is there any “map” where you can see where all the accepted waypoints?
Why Im asking is because Ive seen in my Pokemon GO when trying to create new spot of importance that they already exist but are completely wrongly located. But since they dont appear as stops I cant report their right location, the only thing I cant do is to make a new one and inform staff that the other one is wrongly located, which is kind of annoying.
So, is there any way to report these wrongly placed waypoints when I cant actively see them except when making new spots myself?
Welcome to the forum!
There is not a map of all Wayspots that is intended for us to use, but there is a Niantic Geospatial Browser for developers that I don’t know much about since I do not use it.
You can report corrections that you cannot do in game through Help Chat Niantic Wayfarer
It says Locations >10m but they will review any location that needs correcting. They will want evidence.
If you are using the toggle in the nomination map screen to see existing Wayspots, that is a mess right now. Niantic added Powerspot imports to this view that aren’t included in that other database, and I don’t think are true Wayspots for reviewing purposes. These can be identified currently by the placeholder photo, but now that we can submit photos for these, idk how long that will be true. These can still be reported to help chat for correction.
I don’t even know what we should be calling the database. It used to be “Lightship” but they recently changed that to “Niantic Spatial Platform”:
Thank you so much! Ill try that.
Thank you for replying!
