Additional Information (if any):
I understand that the existing PokéStop represents the entire park, but I believe the slide is a unique and separate point of interest within this space. While the current PokéStop highlights the general area of the park, it does not specifically recognize the slide, which serves as a focal point for visitors, particularly families and children.
According to Niantic’s guidelines, unique features within parks—such as playground equipment, sculptures, or distinctive structures—are eligible as standalone points of interest. This slide qualifies as such a feature due to its specific design and its role as a central attraction within the park. By approving this proposal, the slide will provide players with a safe and frequently visited location to enjoy the game while encouraging more interaction within the community.
Furthermore, creating a PokéStop for the slide would not duplicate the existing one for the park. Instead, it would add a new layer of engagement by highlighting a specific element that enhances the overall experience of the park.
For these reasons, I kindly request reconsideration of my proposal, as the slide meets the criteria for a unique and noteworthy point of interest within the community.
Make sure to include clear photos of the slide and its surroundings to support your case!
I am pleading ignorance on this one. Can you confirm that the slide is not located on Llar d’Infants Pública Els Gallarets (Public Children’s Home Els Gallarets) property? If it is, it may disqualify it from eligibility as it will be considered as a location that is primarily aimed at K12 group.
I agree that play equipment can be eligible as a separate point of interest within a park. But I understand why it was marked as duplicate with where the pin for the park is.
Are you familiar with how Pokemon Go uses S2 cells? There can only be one Pokething per Level 17 S2 cell. You can see from the grid in my screenshot that the slide would be in the same one as the parc.
Nomination Appeals should take place within your Contribution Management page for both Nominations and Edits. Here you can appeal rejected invalid Wayspot reports or request that removed Wayspots be restored if they didn’t meet removal criteria. (nomination & edit appeals not accepted)
But people miss it anyway. Adding it to the format piece that comes up could help.
Based on what has been posted by @cyndiepooh, I believe the nomination to be correctly rejected, as the other waypoint seems to cover the slide. I understand your point about it being unique, but the other nomination appears to be a catch all wayspot.
