My application to change the location of the Wayspot title “AEON MALL Nagakute Store” was rejected, so I will apply again with evidence.

The title of the Wayspot is “AEON MALL”, but for some reason it is registered with a photo of “AEON STYLE”. A photo of “AEON MALL” is also registered, but it cannot be changed.

As shown in the photo below, the actual location of the “AEON Mall” sign is shifted to the north of the building from the registered Weyspot location.

I will move Wayspot to the correct location and request the deletion of the incorrect photos. Thanks.

Hi DTrain2002, Thank you for your advice. I will try this method.

However, I have submitted it, but am I able to explain the contradictions that are difficult to express in Wayspot’s words? I’m not confident.

What struck me about this Wayspot was that the “title” and the “Wayspot photo” were completely inconsistent, but upon closer inspection, the location of the Wayspot matches the location of the “signboard” in the “Wayspot photo.” In that sense, it is in the “correct location.”

To summarize the current situation,

  1. The Wayspot title is “AEON MALL Nagakute Store” (not AEON STYLE).
  2. Wayspot photo: A photo of a sign that says “AEON STYLE” (contradicts the title).
  3. Current location of the Wayspot: Matches the location of the sign in the title photo “AEON STYLE”.
  4. The sign with the title “AEON MALL” is located in a different location from the current location of the Wayspot.

However, as I was writing this, a different thought came to my mind. Maybe the Wayspot title “AEON Mall Nagakute Store” is incorrect!
It’s possible that the submitter “missubmitted” the title name when applying for a Wayspot!

Since the “title” and “photo (text on the sign)” are different, it should not have been approved during the Wayspot review, but it is possible that it somehow passed the review and appeared in this location in its current form.
Niantic.

Could you please check the “initial registration” of this wayspot? If it is the same as the current registration (title, photo, location), then the “title” may be different.

If Niantic determines that “there is a problem with the title of the wayspot, and it needs to be changed”

and that “there is no need to change the location” of the wayspot, please let me know if there is anything I can do about the next method.
Thank you

Thank you for your message and advice. I’ll try chatting. (Actually, I’m not that used to chatting, so this is a real challenge.)

It is called “chat” but isn’t really. A bot asks for information, which you can provide, along with anything else you feel will help. Then humans will look at the information and come back to you with a decision. Sometimes they will come back and ask for more evidence, but it isn’t a live conversation.

It’s not exactly a live chat… It’s more like submitting a ticket. Once you share your concern, the relevant team will investigate and get back to you as @cyndiepooh explained. Since these things can take some time, you won’t get a response right away

Thanks for understanding, and good luck!

Thank you everyone. I have just submitted my application again.

By the way, I received a response from Wayfarer support about my first application 2 hours ago.

「Hello Explorer,
Thanks for reaching out.
Based on our research, the Wayspot is at the correct location and does not require any adjustments at this time.
Regards,」

That seems to be the conclusion.
