Please post the details, Title and the GPS co-ordinates (found on your original nomination email).
The most common reason is that it is too close to another wayspot.

You nominate a wayspot, whether this becomes a pokestop or Gym is up to Pokemon Go.
We no longer have an up to date map since Pokemon Go was bought by Scopely but if an older wayspot is blocking this then someone will be able to tell you.

Just a bit of extra info if my assumption above is correct.
Your wayspot may…
- Be used as a Power Spot (Dynamax / Gigantamax) in the future.
- It may replace a current stop / gym if that is removed for legitimate reasons. ***
- It may be used in other Scopely games.
*** Do not try to get a legitimate spot removed just to get yours on the map, this is seen as Abuse and could lead to your accounts (Wayfarer and all Scopely Games) being suspended or banned.

There is nothing you can do about that particular wayspot as unfortunately it won’t appear.
You appear to be at a large mining complex in a very remote location.
Am I correct to understand that this area is the accommodation block?
Do read the information referred to above about S2 mapping cells. The accommodation area is in 2 different S2 level 14 cells. The 2 pokestops are each in a separate Level 14. In order to get a gym you need to have 2 wayspots in separate level 17 cells within a level 14. Sorry tgat this is complex but it is the explanation.

The red line is the level 14, the green boxes are the level 17.
I can see what appears to be 2 sports pitches. This has the potential to give you 2 more wayspots and it would then give a gym. The most common placement would be behind the goals so it doesn’t interfere with play - roughly where I have marked.
What other facilities do you have there?
Is there a gym?
What are the social facilities?
