My wayspots arent being accepted but the only ones i dont understand why are :
Elim church (this is a church btw)
Londis post office ( ok ig why and why not but its a post office tho)
Elim church gate entrance (ok ig no its a gate but its to a church tho)
Northampton raw dog food service ( this i dont understand its a dog food service)
I ws wondering why they weren’t accepted as ive been trying to get some pokestops in my area because i dont go into town (which has most of the pokestop and gyms) so i just wanted a gym near me to get coins more often
Good day and welcome to the forum!
You may want to show the nominations as submitted and reviewed via Niantic Wayfarer for us to know which aspects to improve.
Welcome to the forums ![]()
There could be issues with your photos, with your narratives, with the location or something else. Just because an object is eligible and you think it meets the criteria does not mean it will be automatically accepted.
As @paulingzubat said, if you want advice on these nominations, please provide details. A single post should only contain images and text from one nomination, otherwise it is hard for people to respond.
Elim Church doesn’t appear to have a PoI already so that’s a great option for a submission
The post office does appear to already have a PoI so I’d imagine any rejection was due to it being a duplicate?
I don’t think a dog food company meets any criteria unfortunately. You’d need to link it to being a great place to exercise, socialise or explore
Hi Redranger0012,
I think I can find these from the description you’ve given.
Elim Church: should be eligible. Doesn’t look much like a church, find citations to back up its existence. They have a website which would really help if you added it to the supporting text.
Londis Post Office: looking at the Ingress Intel map (which hasn’t synced with PoGo for months but still) I can see that it’s already in the game but it seems to be in the same L17 cell as the nearby pub so won’t appear in PoGo.
Church Gate: historic church gates are usually easy to get accepted. This one is more modern and is basically a gate to a business unit with a sign on saying it’s a church, so marginal. In any case, work on the church nomination first and when that gets accepted add the church gate.
Dog Food Service: the others are potentially eligible, but this isn’t. Each wayspot has to meet at least one of the three criteria of encouraging exploration, socialising or exercise. This one will get rejected every time
Hwy pauling zubat sorry about tht if u look at the post now i added 1 out of 2 or 3 heres another one thnkx for taking tour time to help me aswell
That photo looks blurred. The post office would be eligible, but would have needed a better photo. However, as people have found it is already a wayspot, don’t retry as it won’t get accepted.
That’s a bit weird, it’s an automated rejection. Perhaps it doesn’t like the photo. Still, it’s in the game anyway, just not visible.
Hey shritwod
Thnkx for helping me with this i kinda thought tht the dog food service wouldnt be accepted but still wanted to try but also thnkx for helping me out with what ws wrong with them
Hey salixsorbus
Thnkx for telling me what ws wrong with the post office nomination
Ok thnkx shritwod for your help i have found the information very useful and i understand why some of my nominations werent accepted
Make sure when submitting that you have the map locations turned on, so that you can see what is already in the game. Some wayspots get accepted by the community but don’t appear as pokestops/gyms, so it is not safe to go entirely by what you can see in the game.
This is however complicated by the existence of powerspots. Any powerspot that doesn’t have an image can basically be ignored - only check the things that have images (and descriptions).
You need to be physically there to use the submission map in Pokemon Go. This cannot be done remotely.
Ok thnkx salixsorbus for your help
Would just like to add my “Welcome to the Forums”,
Love to see people asking questions then taking on board the advice given.
Following the guys advice above will improve you as a wayfarer and it won’t be long when it’s you giving the advice.
Good luck.

Oooookay so I guess this is your submission…
That’s a really bad photo in Wayfarer terms. Pictures taken at an angle are a no-no, even if you might see some sneak through. Also use proper title case, e.g. “Elim Chuch Northampton”. Try to write a description that’s actually meaningful - what kind of denomination is it, when did it open etc. It might get through as it is because it’s a highly eligible potential wayspot, but with that photo you might have difficulties.
I would be very surprised if this get accepted. Even for a cast-iron100% eligible submission of a church, it is possible to make so many mistakes that almost everyone is going to reject. This has a poor title, poor description (they are not mandatory, but this says absolutely nothing that isn’t in the title, so is effectively empty) and extremely bad photo.
I don’t get why people take photos on an angle. My best guess is that it is an attempt to take a photo of something in portrait mode than would be far better taken as a landscape photo, so it gets turned sideways to fit everything in. The better solution is to take a landscape photo. This is allowed and I haven’t detected any increase in rejection rates when I do this.
The other times I see angled photos is on fake submissions, which this doesn’t appear to be, but it will raise warning flags for some reviewers.
Welcome to the forum!
Your title says “meets all criteria,” but these don’t. In addition to the excellent advice you have been given, I would like to point you to a link to the actual Wayspot Criteria — Wayfarer Help Center
Please do ask here if you have more questions about rejections, or want advice on submitting something else.
Lol i ws wondering why i got denied lol thnkx for the help
I always recommend that folks who submit also do some reviewing. It isn’t required, but if you reviewed, you would know that “orientation” is a rejection reason. That is also mentioned at that link I gave you, specifically on this page https://niantic.helpshift.com/hc/en/21-wayfarer/faq/2774-rejection-criteria/?l=en&p=web
