I really dont know what to do anymore. I live in a really rural area, not like in the post “what to do in a rural area” where they describe churches, veteran-places or free library’s.
In my area there are just greenhouses kilometres around. Only special things are a few fences here and there, rocks and boulders. But none of those ever get accepted.
I tried the best looking views between the high-tec greenhouses but they just get rejected…
Further there just really is nothing the revieuwers will find special, while there are a good few players around we just cant get anything through because of our “depressing” area. Now we are forced to go on a 10 minute drive to go play a pedestrian game.
Any tips left?
Thanks!
P.S. apologies for the bad english, i tried my best
Hey, if the area is really like you described, there is no possibility to put a Wayspot that can become a Pokéstop. There will always be areas where it simply isn’t possible no matter what you do.
If you feel comfortable, you could drop some.coordinates or address, maybe someone here in the community spots something to do that was missed or not thought about
Perhaps there are some particularly important greenhouse complexes that are considered “city-forming enterprises” or something like that? Perhaps one or more greenhouse complexes are of particular importance to the region or grow particularly important ingredients for some important products? Maybe some of them offer tours or master classes on growing? These are my guesses, but I think you can find something if it’s not entirely private property. Even in the most remote place there should probably be a postal service.
Can you instead focus on building up stops in the areas you visit in your daily life? Presumably you do not spend all day every day in this specific area and go elsewhere for things like shopping, eating out, going to the gym, going to work on site?
I live in the suburbs so I also have a lack of options near the house, but at the little row of shops locally there is a post office, a noticeboard, a mosaic tile artwork (by a tile shop!) and a biking trail. So that meant some stops could appear there.
I like going to a cafe in my nearby village centre - its a 15 minute walk. I submitted that cafe, along with some other places in the village centre. So although its not right by my house, its somewhere I go a couple of times a month and can stock up then.
I also go to the gym, which is a 10 minute drive away. I have submitted lots of things at my gym including different sports courts, the pools, the seating outside, notice boards, the cafe etc. Its a brilliant place to stock up more regularly as I go there usually once or twice a week.
On days I work from home and dont go out, I get everything I need from opening gifts. So I don’t mind not being able to spin anything at home. So it works fine like this. Maybe this is an option for you too?
I just got back from a week’s vacation on the side of a mountain. There was a ski resort nearby, so I could see some stops but I could not reach them from the house where I was staying. I just didn’t worry about it. When I left the house to go by the ski resort, I opened the game to spin but if I just stayed in the house all day, I chilled out and played other games. No one is guaranteed a wayspot to play a game based on real world location data.
Lets hope thats not the case. Been playing for a good 8 years now and with all the optimizations i was hoping i could finally get something closer to home.
Oh wow there’s loads of potential outside the industrial looking area - you’re next to several parks with unsubmitted sports facilities.
You just need to walk out of that industrial area a little and there’s sooo much wayfarer potential check out all of this section in green!! The top part looks to be called Gophers Park. I think this whole area is surrounded by parks and they should have lots of options. I assume due to these having PoIs already that they are not schools and are facilities like sports centres. Schools for under 18s are ineligible
Each of the green rectangles is a cell. You can only have 1 pokestop per cell, but adding another PoI to the same green cell could make a power spot. With sports fields there is a great choice of eligible location choices to submit, so you can maximise the number of stops that appear by avoiding submitting things into the same green cell as something else for these kinds of submissions.
It looks like there are some biking trails around the edge of the area as someone has already submitted a couple, yeah. So that was a good idea. Adding to those if there are other markers might be possible although I am not sure how good of a recommendation that is nowadays
This was nearby, so maybe they can follow the route and add more markers for other sections? I think these encourage exercise and exploring
Do you have gathering place for worker(park or table/bench)? That might be eligible. While i understand that there is not much/nothing to submit along the road or greenhouse/factory
I unfortunately want to add that these are not eligible. I am seeing multiple removals of these in my area in the last week, so I wouldn’t recommend these, as they are being removed.
That’s so wierd that its not eligible, the picture taken for that PoI looks to me to be a wonderful place to exercise and explore the area which looks quite a cool route along parkland! I wonder why it is not eligible?! I will never understand the issues with bike trails in NL, as over here that would be considered a good thing to submit
I would give the same opinion, but these numbered trails are considered basic infrastructure. We have lost 2 gyms, 4 pokestops and 1 powerspot already, and more the come I think. If I didn’t visit the forums I would have defenitely submitted them and recommended them.
