Why is it not good?

The advice has been provided. You may disagree with it. But providing false information is not helpful. These hands are not trailmarkers, they are warning signs for traffic to show that schoolchildren are crossing there.

Where is it then? As a warning sign?
They are route signs for kids, it stand there on the site Doelstellingen ‱ Octopusplan

Translated :
With the Octopus plan we strive for safer school environments and routes. After all, safe routes are a crucial factor that determines whether or not children travel to school on foot or by bicycle.
and yes cityhall ad a sign sometimes whit like Drive slow or here it comes School Route

So please dont say i give falls information.

It does not say that these are trail markers, just that they are meant for safer school travel.

Picture translated: Recognizability of Octopus Octopus is a recognizable symbol for many children, schools, parents and road users. The Octopus accent posts are located throughout Flanders and ensure a high degree of recognisability in school environments. Children are enthusiastic about the Octopus as a fun figure that guides them through the world of traffic during their entire school period. The teaching method, the fun campaigns, the practical material, the Otopus pole make the whole thing strong.

Same thing it says these are recognizable markers for school areas. As suggested a few times already. Try looking for other eligible locations in the areas if you want to enrich your gaming environment. But this object is not an eligible wayspot as it does not promote exploration, exercise or socializing.

This doesn’t make it a trail, and this discussion is going somewhat in circles. Regardless, I am not sure why it is so important to submit wayspots in locations where many unaccompanied children are likely to gather and that are likely to be in the vicinity of schools. While not explicitly K-12, is this really a good idea?

As you see on the picture there is only 1 school all colourd lines are routes to the school, there are even markers where kids can meet and travel togheter to school from that point
you didt even look at the picture where it al stand on, only ad the octopus is school area

Thats why i asked can you let someone else take a look ad it.

If all bad locations whit a sign like this get accepted

But a safe school route whit a lot of good locations dont get accepted.

I let it by this, because there is no point in trying to make the game nicer better and safer locations for the kids.

Where would you let your kids play pokemon go? Somewhere a trail marker ad a forest , big park? On a cycling road, where most time is only cycling road is, or in the houses area from play ground to playground, and in between the playgrounds are also a lot of those schoolroute markers, what can give them a extra boost for pokeballs if the can spin a few extra poi on the way.

Most here are houses where you have the issue whit private residence, so there is not many things you can nominated whit good anchor points, only playgounds, few things ad shopping center, so if al kids say its also a route marker roadmap but you people say it dont

Nothing to do about it. Everyone have diffrent opinion about it thanks xenopus

Hey there! I just wanted to chime in because I am both a Wayfarer Ambassador and a PoGo Community Ambassador. It’s actually a common misconception that Pokemon Go is a game for children. Access to cell phones and a cellular plan aside, one of the stated rules for PoGo Community Ambassadors (that we MUST add as a pinned message to each of our group chats) is that no children under 13 are allowed in Campfire. They can come to events if accompanied by their parent or guardian, but they can’t be in chats. I know that’s not the point of what you’re saying, but I’m commenting so people know that’s an actual rule.

Paradoxically, Pokemon Go is not a kids game.

I am adult, father dad.

If its not a child game why promote it from 9 years old in googleplaystore

I just wanted to add some safe nice poi close by the areas ad witch playgrounds they may go and play and the anchor points are solid long standing things for years past and to come,

but i dont go waste anymore time on this

I provide all info, even if i say 1 + 1 = 2 then someone else say no sorry its 4 :rofl::rofl:

I understand that children need pokĂ©balls but my opinion on where they should play any kind of Niantic game is quite irrelevant here. You were asking for advice on how to improve a specific type of wayspot nomination. Wayspot nominations have eligibility criteria, acceptance criteria and rejection criteria, which are listed here under “Wayspot criteria”. You were given advice in line with these criteria. The fact that nowhere in there it says that areas for children to cross or to gather are specifically great nominations that are better than others is not a matter of opinion. I understand it is disappointing to hear these might not be slam dunks, but in addition some children-focused areas are called out as ineligible so that might also confuse some reviewers. Empirically, insisting on children needing pokĂ©stops in your nominations might also put some community reviewers off or in the opinion of some even border on influencing reviewers. If you are looking to build the area out further, which is a commendable goal, many people here are usually available and willing to help research candidate nominations based on Street/satellite view. Sometimes having a fresh eye intervene helps

If a wayspot nomination is not safe to gather at or is on the territory of a single-family private residence, it is not eligible and should not become a wayspot, and if those are approved they are likely to be removed from the map at any time. You can look into doing that if it bothers you that there are wayspots that are unsafe or inaccessible in the area, which I completely empathize with. Again that does not create a loophole in which other ineligible things become eligible.

I hope this and the above perspectives help show that this is not just to oppose your nomination but rather to try and help choose eligible ones that have better odds in the Wayfarer system. Don’t hesitate to let us know if you need help with reviewing Street View or satellite for your area.

This is so true, and so funny how many times its misunderstood
Ive seen kids who play. Their parents are always WAY more into it than the kids are
Its also a very expensive game if you want to be competitive
hundreds or thousands of ppunds over the years. Kids dont have that sort of money, nor do they always have phones that are new enough to run the game properly.
I can imagine it may be the same with the other games too

I’m trying to imagine a five year old playing Ingress and I can’t stop laughing!

I couldnt even manage to get through the tutorial in Ingress. It didnt appear to be child focussed in any way.

Its about pokemon go.
where there is mention about children from 5 year old or ingress. Except in your messages?

@frealafgb where it say it cost money? In pokemon go to collect pokemon?

Every time it take a diffrent turn here and the awnser get every time stranger.

Using that logic I should not submit playgrounds, basketball courts, football pitches, parks and plenty others.
