Ingress and wayfarer have split so you need to wait recon

This could be a Wayfarer request. Both removal emails still say Niantic. Also, it’s been taking Recon much longer to decide on removal requests, several weeks at times.

@AgentX1976 I find this interesting. I requested removal over the weekend with a geotagged photo, and it was removed earlier today from Wayfarer.

Not could be, it is. Ingress emails say Niantic Spacial now. I don’t expect to hear from them for a while.

Ah, just checked my most recent removal request in Ingress. Good to know.

And yet, it took several weeks for a portal to be removed, but it you use the links to report portals or abuse, they get to those quicker.

Oh i see “Agent” and immediately link myself with ingress lol. Thanks for correcting

Yeah, just a username. There’s a good deal of users that have game related usernames.

I still play both games, and I still submit and maintain both games with edits. I am more just surprised that adding a geotagged photo in the actual removal request and they’re not accepting it. Before we were able to submit photos with our removal requests I would upload them to my Google Drive and then paste a link in the optional information. I figured that didn’t work because maybe they’re not allowed to look at external links, being afraid of malware or something like that. So I was really excited when I was able to add photo proof that something was gone

Can’t be the case, as I uploaded mine to Imgur, and it doesn’t seem to have been an issue; this was for a removal request I did on Friday and was approved earlier today. Plus, nothing has been said about the new upload photo feature for removal requests, especially if they’re geotagged.

Thanks for the appeal, @AgentX1976. After reviewing the additional evidence provided, we’ve decided to retire the Wayspot in question.

Please note: The changes will not reflect in Ingress. Ingress Prime is no longer associated with Wayfarer. To make changes in Ingress, please reach out to Ingress support through Ingress in-game support or using the webform link provided in Niantic Spatial Support: https://nianticspatial.helpshift.com/hc/en/8-recon/faq/798-reporting-a-wayspot

Thanks, I knew that about Ingress. @NianticLC is there a reason that it was denied the first time? I used the same GPS tagged photo when l submitted it originally.
