Wrong Pokestops / Duplicated

Hello all!
At first awesome that Niantic lets a community help to build. Would love to support where i can for sure!
But then i got right on the spot a question how to solve something.
I’m new here so could be i’m not on the right spot with my question.

In my area are so much duplicated or not correct stops.
Someone or multiple people made these all over my city.

Is there a way to give a Full explain on Where the right one is and that they could remove the 9 others they where made on “Fake” locations?
Could report them all one by one but i think a full report on all these stops would make more sense and less time taking

Already thanks for reading!

AeroXbird,

Hello!

It sounds like what you are looking for is the form for reporting abuse pinned at the top of this forum: Reporting Abuse in Wayfarer — Wayfarer Help Center

This will let you make a report of more than one wayspot. I would strongly suggest including as much evidence as possible as to why each of the wayspots you say are incorrect cannot be there.

Hope this helps - let us know if you need more info on how to use this form.

hey @Xenopus
Thanks for you’re quick reply!

Will ofcourse give as much Evidence as possible.
Little example where you prob have also a answer for then

These tiles get added each year after a event in our city. they started with it like 10 years ago. People will prob try to get every tile as waypoint. But these tiles are around 5/10 meters near each other. could i add that in the report so it could be prohibited from make them all a waypoint? looks kinda way to overpowered

These tiles are also the waypoints that goes all around the city what i mentioned before.

Sure!

Regarding tiles:

Wayfarer is not concerned with density at all.
For these tiles I would probably want to know if they are eligible objects (do they help us explore, exercise or socialize), whether they are permanent and if they are correctly placed. This determines whether we should submit them. But in the context of Wayfarer, if the eligible objects are millimeters away from each other, then it’s perfectly fine. That just makes it unlikely that they will all be eligible to appear in all Niantic games. So some of your concerns are probably already taken care of by game density rules.

If you are seeing them at an abnormal density in games (eg. breaking the 20m rule in Ingress or the density rules of Pokémon GO), it could mean that they are the result of some kind of editing abuse that could be worth looking into. Or if you see them placed for game advantage in places that don’t match their real-life location, that’s also not great.

Note that abuse reports are for actual demonstratable abuse, not things that are close to each other IRL. You also cannot, to my knowledge, pre-emptively request to block an area unless you are a property owner, that would be extremely unfair to the submitters in that area.

Hope this helps clarify some doubts!
