As of this morning my local gym had suddenly disappeared (yellow circle) and another gym had popped up with a different landmark at a different location. When I check the wayfare site it still says that the gym is there, but it certainly isn’t.
Anyone experienced anything like that?

Could you please provide the coordinates/address of the location in question and name of the Gym?
Do you mean that “Campfire” is still saying there is a gym there? It can take Campfire some time to reflect a change.

Art can be removed for not being eligible? What removal reason would a gamer use to report that?
I’m trying to fit that with Niantic not removing places called out in the info text as “adult oriented” so not valid. (My report of a gu n shop)
Maybe art that isn’t eligible isn’t suitable for AR experiences.

Niantic has been removing graffiti and individual disc golf holes simply for not meeting criteria. I asked about how to submit those and was told I could use any reason.
However, when I tried to submit in game reports for disc golf holes, they were rejected. When I use the form linked at the top here for “Reporting Abuse” there is an option there to choose " Fake Nominations or criteria issues", so I assume that is how this was reported for removal. Or, Niantic was just cleaning up the area and removed it.
So someone reported it because they don’t think it meets the criteria I guess? Kind of a weird thing to do though?
I guess it’s not the greatest work of art, but still. Really bummed about this.
I am going to start quoting instead of using the reply options so people know who I am replying to. I understand it is frustrating to lose a gym. I posted facts to answer questions, and hope nothing I said came off as derogatory towards you. I intentionally did not express any opinions one way or another on the removal. I hope the new one that popped up is accessible to you and you can have fun getting gold on a new gym.
