The wayfarrer team always does a thorough research before taking action as seen by the time taken between the post and decision.
If you have evidence that it 100% wasn’t you a staff member could open up a DM where you can provide the evidence.
I dont know the inner workings of how they can detect a multi accounter, but ive only created one account. SOme local people here are banned for the same. Even a elderly woman who only knows 1 email adress. There’s no i can proof anything since they made the decisiion. the only other thing they could have done is a 30 day suspension so they can see if anything had changed
It doesn’t work that way. We do not take action unless we have evidence and in cases like these, there are multiple levels of reviews.
The enforcement depends on the magnitude of abuse committed.
How come most of the accounts that have been invloved are still active?
The situation was in delft and you guys can also see that i barely touched campfire in the last 2 years. I explained to you the whole situation in DM. I’ve been committed to create a community overseas and here and i get repaid by an perma ban?
The enforcement ladder for abuse doesn’t have to be followed rigidly, step by step. Niantic are entitled to skip steps on the ladder if they deem the abuse to be sufficiently major. Leaving aside that it’s their game, it is explicitly stated that they can do this:
“As part of that commitment, we enforce a punishment ladder against most types of abuse. This policy may provide offenders with disciplinary actions proportional to the severity of the offenses they perform. This means that a first time offender can be punished with any of the disciplinary actions listed below depending on how severe their offense was.”

i know it haven’t be used like that. But now more then 5 people who never ever visited the place of the accident are banned. If they did a suspension they would have seen the abuse would still be going on. They banned the wrong poeple who had nothing to do with it and said: Look we fixed it

If the situation about the stops is the reason I got banned is true, I’m really confused.
I’ve played this game in Delft maybe once or twice (my sister lives there) with a raid hour. I haven’t touched Wayfarer in over 18 months (to be honest, I didn’t think it was worth all the effort). So I have absolutely nothing to do with what’s going on. Neither do many others who got a ban (as far as I know). Like Roché said, there’s an elderly woman who plays the game while walking the dog. She got accused of having multiple accounts.
I’m a 2016 player who spent a lot of time and money in the game. I’ve been to events across Europe and even to an event in Yokohama, Japan. In all these years I’ve never done anything against the terms (as far as I’m aware off…), never once got a warning or anything.
I tried to explain this in my appeal, but all I got was a standard reaction telling me I did something against their terms, without telling me what I did specifically (if I truly did something wrong, I’m the first to admit it).
It’s all very confusing and most of all frustrating. Like I said, I spent so much time, money and dedication in this game. Not sure what to do now. Hope they take another good look at the situation and come to the right conclusion and unban some of the wrongfully accused accounts.

Just talked to Aaron. He said he looked into the situation (very quickly…) and now I’m also being accused of multi-accounting and ‘colluding with other accounts to manipulate the gameboard’.
He also says the ban is final and non-negotiable. It’s truly an embarrassing situation. Sad that this is how they treat a loyal fanbase.
Thinking about my next step.
