We must not overlook the decision made by this Wayfarer team.
If no one can participate, the map won’t progress. In vast regions like India and the archipelago of Indonesia, we must cultivate new Wayfinders in each area. Currently, the only way to join Wayfarer is by raising your Trainer Level in Pokémon GO. This requires Wayspots. For Wayspots that don’t meet the criteria or have incorrect locations, we should expect the new Wayfinders who will grow in those areas to correct them. Wayspots converted from imported locations should eventually become unnecessary after sufficient time has passed. I hope converted wayspots that don’t meet the eligibility criteria will be flexibly handled and removed.
Meanwhile, we need a report from the team outlining a solution for the issue where most power spots have disappeared. For players in the affected areas, a lack of visibility into the future saps their motivation and breeds dissatisfaction and distrust.
People are getting angry.. In my community, about 60% have already expressed their decisions to quit the game. We used to be able to run community dynamax runs at least every max monday. Now it feels like we are on a marathon instead. Good job!
Why not wait a few more days?
If the Powerspots disappeared because imported locations were converted to Wayspots, urban Powerspots should recover to some extent. Ideally, the game board should be updated immediately, though.
I noticed when I saw your screenshot. Breaking down the process of imported locations converting to Wayspots means removing the imported location and then re-registering a new Wayspot with the same title and location. The PowerSpot was linked to the imported location, and since that was removed, I think the PowerSpot was also removed from the PokémonGO game board. But since there should be a Wayspot that meets the requirement, I think the PowerSpot will return during the next update scheduled for the 4th of every month. I haven’t participated, so I’m not sure, but I’m sure the same thing is being discussed on Discord.
I don’t know if you are in Indonesia, or if youve seen the news. Patience is on a very limited supply over here at the moment, and this is just the icing on the cake for many members of my community. Bad, extra bad timing to make this kind of silly mistake.
No, I live in Japan. I’ll put this gently, but I also think the team made the change at a bad time. If this change had been made today or tomorrow, it wouldn’t have caused this much confusion. But please wait another two or three days. It probably won’t recover completely, but it should recover somewhat. I’m hoping things will get better.

I believe they should but I do not have concrete information to commit to it. All I can assure you is that we will take every necessary step required to make the situation better.
