I’m talking about PoGo or Pokemon Go. If are only entitled to one free pass a day. If there’s raid hour or community day, one free pass is not enough. You have to purchase passes in order to join battles. No one is really interested in catching pokemon in the wild coz it is just a waste of time especially if you have family, work, and other stuff to do.
As I said earlier, Wayfarer Ambassadors are NOTHING like Pokemon Go Community Ambassadors. Dont compare your knowledge of them to us.
Again you seem to be stretching the truth. The game isn’t pay to play. Nor are Ambassadors paid. I also don’t believe you know any of the Wayfarer Ambassadors that are spending our time here or on other platforms.
Yeah. Sadly, a lot of generic businesses here in the Philippines are pokestops. Even Starbucks has its own pokestop and 7Eleven as well. There are also non-existing pokestops. I tried to report those but I was tole by the community not to because they do not want the Pokestop or Gym to be removed
Well, I had to spend 15,000 Philippine Pesos or about 300 USD in one month. So I guess it is really free-to-play game.

Yes some of them will be sponsored stops, or imports. Or wrongfully accepted community decisions 
One of our mantras here is to tell everyone not to look on the current ingame wayspots to choose what could be eligible.

This aren’t the requirements for what could be a good Wayspot. An eligible Wayspot meets at least 1 of 3 criteria, if not all 3:
- A great place to be social
- A great place to exercise
- A great place to explore
Many of your nominations may be generic businesses, ones that can be found almost anywhere. Some even seem like they may be chains or franchises, and, with the exception of fitness centers, those are usually ineligible as well. If they aren’t, it’s possible that you’re not providing enough info when nominating to prove that they are non-generic. Things like links to websites for the businesses help, Google/Yelp reviews, anything that shows how a business meets one of the criteria above.
The artwork may need to be appealed, but I also have to wonder about the supporting photos for them. The supporting photos should show the POI with the surrounding area, not just the surrounding area. It says to take a photo of the surrounding area, not the surrounding area with the POI in it, but it’s important the POI and the surrounding area are shown.
Without seeing the rest of your nominations, there isn’t much more that we can help with, other than pointing you to the Wayspot Criteria to make sure you are following them. Another good place to check is the Criteria Clarification Collection, which covers some of the most discussed POIs.
Yeah. I love PoGo so much. No hate towards ambassadors whether from Wayfarer or PoGo. I just don’t get it why there are some areas here in Metro Manila, Philippines where there are 3-7 Poke Gyms in one area. While in my area, we only get 1 gym and that’s it. That why I have to travel for 1-3hours depending on the traffic just to get in those areas in order for me to join raids or community day.
Well, some of the Poke Stop or Gyms here are located beside the street with no pedestrian or even in the middle of rotunda (one is in Baguio City, Philippines). I’m not sure if it is a good place to socialize, or even exercise.

Some of those things should be removed. If you report the rotunda one (as long as it doesn’t have cross walks) it will be removed.
Yeah but I was once told before by one of the community members that whenever there is a task that requires me to scan a Pokestop or Poke Gym and the latter do not exist any longer or was placed in a wrong location, I should not do it coz Niantic might remove it. They also call those players who report waypoint/poke stop or gym as “Toxic people”.
Staff (the paid employees who are the ones responsible for removing Wayspots) have stated several times that this is untrue. Typically, somebody has to actually report a Wayspot for staff to consider removing it.
Those “toxic people” are probably the same ones responsible for dozens or hundreds of Wayspot contributions for every single removal request they’ve made.
Yeah but the community where I usually play with does not want any members to report any waypoints that are already non-existent (for example: Statue of Jollibee which by nature is movable) because they do not want the said waypoint to be removed.
1st, I am glad you have toned down, we do try to help when people will accept that help.
- reports are anonymous.
- You can’t complain about other peoples “bad” nominations whilst also complaining if your “bad” nominations are Rejected.
- Nor complain when you are admitting to making the same type of “bad” nominations.
I am not going to say that you should report the “bad” nominations, this is down to yourself and whether you feel safe doing so.
In regards to future nominations I suggest making a post in “Nomination Support” with the details (photos, title description etc) and people here will explain whether it meets criteria or how to improve it to improve your chances.
Remember, just because others “abuse” the system does not mean you have to follow them.

I think the system itself is the problem. In my opinion, the criteria do not matter at all in reviewing waypoints in PoGo. If I have just the luxury of time, I would love to take screenshots of Poke Stops or Gyms which do not make sense at all. For example, Jollibee, a fast-food chain here in the Philippines, gets an approved Poke Gym which I believe should be rejected for being a generic business. Likewise, many fast-chains get either a pokestop or gyms.
I strongly disagree about tagging my nominations as bad one. Mine is better than those which do not make sense at all. And by the way, my nominations were not rejected by the community but Niantic itself. You will be surprised by the number of poke stops or gyms here in the Philippines which do not meet any of Niantic’s criteria but were able to make their own way to become one. For example, a pedestrian lane painted with graffiti was able to pass the Niantic’s criteria. The photo below shows a pedestrian lane with mural painted on is actually a poke stop. I don’t get how a pedestrian lane itself gets its own Poke Stop. For obvious reason, it is unsafe for socializing, exercising, and exploring since many vehicles pass by this area.

Pedestrian art pinned and only available from the lane itself would indeed fail the safe pedestrian access requirement… but if the art can be touched and accessed safely from the sidewalk one could argue safe pedestrian access.
