I understand someone think this is Not Distinct, but Face or body parts? Is it just someone spam rejecting things?
Could this have happened because you have face or body parts on the supporting photo?
or could be a single person possibly misclicking,
well the other options from what we have been shown by OP don’t fit either so misclick as an explanation, I’m very doubtful about that
It should’ve actually been rejected as a duplicate as Hayes & Harlington Station already has a wayspot at 51.503044, -0.420733 (which does have an image with people in it that should be removed).
Its very easy to “miss click” with keyboard review. But why would “not distinct” not fit, I dk what the nomination is at all… but plausible.
Yes that looks like a picture from on the platfrom rather than the entrance. So a clear duplicate. So wrong reasons showing but it shouldnt be an accept.
However
@Maosee you have a new task Submit a nice new image minus people for the entrance and get rid of the old one.
The original one was the train station, And then I submit the new build tube/underground station. It has a brand new building. But someone marked it as duplicate, so the train station took all the tube station image I submited.
Then I tried to remove the image of the old station with ppl in there, but it still said in voting.
what do you mean by this?
I am explaining why it is not a duplicate! They are not the same thing, someone rejected my tube station nomination, and then it took the my picture for the exsiting train station
The Pokestop now:
What I submitted:
But how did you “try to remove” the photo?
Looking at street view, the entire station is one building. Wikipedia says the station was upgraded by Network Rail to prepare for the Elizabeth Line services, not that a separate underground station was built. So the existing wayspot for the station is valid, and your nomination is therefore a duplicate of it.
I have checked lightship there are a number of photos. There are 2 that are more up to date and have the new signage of the combined Rail and underground logos at the new building. Streetview from 3 months ago has the old building closed from outside.
The location at the old building is probably not wrong as it will be part of the infrastructure of the station ( it would really take local knowledge I think) but if it was being submitted now for the first time the locus would shift to the new entrance.
@NianticAaron is it possible to have an interpretation of this with regard to repurposing?
The area has been remodelled with a new building, a totally new function has been added run by a different organisation. I would say the underlying function as a transport hub is the same.
The description has been updated but it’s not very good:
Old hayes and harling bus and train station, we placed it by new station in 2022 and now work as a interchange for passengers to heathrow
So it needs a better one to mention the Elizabeth Line.
A classic case of the same place but different now.
This certainly sounds like a much bigger change than repurposing a park so I’d say it’s pretty clear that in this case the correct approach would also be to remove the old transit hub and resubmit the new transit hub.
