Is still in queue after 4 days as stated in the title, my other submissions usually go into voting after just 2-3 days without an upgrade on it (yes in the same town, same region etc.)
So I’m not sure whats going on with this because its likely not normal for my region. Can anyone explain or help me?
This can happen. The way I understand it, an upgrade starts working once the nomination gets to the voting stage, where it sends the review to a wider review pool. Many people have reported this phenomena of upgraded nominations taking longer to go into voting, so I don’t use an upgrade unless something is over a week old and just seems to be stuck.

There is some kind of issue where if a nomination is upgraded too soon after submission then it can get stuck in queue for about 7 days. To reduce this Niantic recently made it impossible to upgrade a nomination in thr first 24 hours. However we have noticed that the iffy period can extend out 48 to 72 hours. After that an upgraded nomination will enter voting in minutes and reach resolution quicker than a normal nomination. How old was your submission when you applied the upgrade?
About 30 hours old I think
Yep. Still really new. Nominations on average are taking just a couple days to resolve right now so its better to wait a few days before upgrading. Save the upgrade for something that has been in queue or in voting for a long time (week+).
