Additional Information (if any): This nomination on thr wayfarer website was rejected. If I remember correctly, it was flagged for being “abusive” or “vulgar”. (I can’t access wayfarer to confirm the reason since I’m suspended).
I was hoping is there anyway to have a conversation with a human as I have already tried to appeal through other channels, but have only received automated messages minutes after appealing.
I have looked at both sets of coordinates from your emails and neither of them seem to be on the actual marker, which is at 52.317722, 22.675982. Both of your submissions appear to be around 50 metres down the road from the actual location.
NianticAaron has explained that the string about abusive text is just what appears when an nomination is flagged for abuse.
The email said you had misplaced the wayspot. We have seen bans overturned when the person was able to provide evidence that the location was not false. I will find the latest one I am thinking of and edit in the link.
Edit: here is the link, but based on what @hankwolfman found, maybe there is no need to post it. But it does show that staff is willing to communicate with folks on the forum who are sincere.
I took a look on Google Maps/Street View, and based on the coordinates you provided, this was misplaced by about 60m. I see it around 52.31771716782032, 22.675898259710685, and while misplacement by a few meters may be ok, misplacement by this amount can be seen as abuse, such as trying to manipulate the map.
Below is satellite view from Google Maps. The red pin is the location you provided, and the blue pin is where the marker actually is, showing the distance between the 2.
@NotJohn035 the appeal typically gets auto acknowledgment then after review an individual response. Did you supply any evidence as to why the wayspot may have been misplaced. You are encouraged to add any evidence about the wayspot to the appeal.
The wayfarer Team often will respond to these posts with a DM if there is a specific exchange needed.
For a wayfarer suspension you get 3 emails- one of which is the example of the issue and the others about the suspension. I like to check that all 3 have been received.
Have you got reason for the wrong location of the pin?
As for the inaccurate placement of the wayspots, that is a genuine error on my part. The location on a map isn’t very clear as the sign isnt visible on satellite imagery nor is it near any distinguishable landmarks
The submission confirmation email has the pin position that you submitted. That should be the information you need for the appeal.
For your appeal you need to explain why it could be so far out from its position, when you submitted. Have you done that? You can supply any evidence as to why a mistake was made.
When I first appealed the suspension, I was under the impression that my submission had wrongly been flagged, so I didn’t provide that. I’ll send a fixed one now.
I don’t get it. Since my first warning I have reviewed and uploaded multiple wayspots, all of which never had any problems. I ensured that the quality of my submissions were all good, but because I misplaced a SINGLE wayspot a little bit down the road from it’s actual location ( because of Pokemon Gos satellite imagery) both my Wayfarer and PoGo accounts get suspended. I don’t understand it. Wouldn’t denying the single submission been enough?
Misplacing a nomination by almost sixty meters is not a little. Niantic takes the accuracy of their database very seriously. I hope you take it as a learning experience and are more careful in future.
I understand that the distance wasn’t acceptable, however it was an honest mistake and my first in quite some time. It’s not like I placed it miles away in a different spot, just on the wrong part of the road which has no discernible ladmarks and the sign post is not visible during submission. Denying the wayspot submission would have been enough.
