The thing is i want to reach the 500 reviews, and i have 281 at time moment, but is taking so long to review, that is absurd, it makes you considered a lot if it’s even worth it.
Agree. Experiencing total lag. I’m less than 200 at this point but keep toggling from contributions to review button and it feels like I’m stirring cement. Please fix this. Also, i’m noticing that all my edits from the last challenge are now being handled. That last challenge was also a fail. Please care about the time that we are all using and let it not be wasted.
Yet the Challenge lowered the goals trying to earn them in order to save face about the multiple problems.
And I don’t want to say “once again” because I remember previous challenges when even with problems the initial goals are achieved without “nerfing” but even “boosting” to a new goal.
The worst thing about this challenge isn’t the lag, the absurd suspensions, the black holes (it’s global but you need to understand without clues where the system is not ‘shutdown’ yet…) etc BUT the ambassadors gaslighting the reviewers when they expose all the problems.
If this is the new norm under Scopely then my time (and a lot of other reviewers) is over
Guys. I think you need to understand that we are going through a wayfarer global challenge during a major holiday in many countries around the world. Because of that there is an abnormal number of people trying to review at the same time, so of course the website will lag. It’s lagging for me too and I live in a large city. Not to mention it’s the weekend, which it just worsen things up. We all need to be patient.
Thank you for your view it is duly noted.
Just to be clear Ambassadors, if they are taking part in the challenge, are having exactly the same issues of bouncing balloons etc as any wayfinder may come across. I have found 2 reviews in the past hour of searching.
We are however trying to help those that appear to not know, to explain you can hop around and where we have found review material to share that information with the community to try and share that information.
So I think it would be more constructive if instead of suggesting we are trying to mislead, you could perhaps be part of the solution and if you find places with reviews that you could please to post those.
If you are finding it too frustrating then the best advice I can offer is to take a break.
Thanks but I’m already +250 reviews and I didn’t have so much interest in getting +500 before all the problems, so I’m completely chill right now.
But because I’m not directly affected by all the problems doesn’t make me less worried about them. Now I’m gonna sleep (if my allergic let’s me do that) but tomorrow I will try to be “part of the solution”… like always in Wayfarer.
Thank you, yes, I did read it. The second sentence says “you can change these” (plural) and then says "will be able to reset it… " (singular). This change of the plurality of the object in the one sentence was confusing to me… perhaps I read it TOO thoroughly! I didn’t want to risk changing the home location but now I will.
Yes, I have changed it many times to countless cities for both home & bonus locations. The only thing that seemed to TRULY help was switching one of those locations to South Korea (Seoul) and the person who recommend it was a complete godsend as Wayfarer started operating a lot more normal. It still had occasional hiccups, but not enough, and as often, for it be a complete major headache.
To anyone reading this and would like a chance of getting a more normal Wayfarer going for the remainder of this Wayfarer Challenge - Do what I did, and select South Korea as your bonus location (or home location if you want), as someone recommend that to me yesterday and it ended up being a COMPLETE GODSEND. Wayfarer 100% started operating normal’ish again, with very few occasional hiccups from time to time, but very much enough normal for it not to be a major headache.
- I had 252 when I made this post, and only had gotten 16 within an hr or just a little more. Now I’m at 500 after grinding last night & getting it to 400, then finishing up the last 100 tonight.
Yes, I cannot review at all. The portal is lagging & doesn’t connect
Hi @MiggyMumSarah
Welcome to the forum
If the site is lagging and/or you can’t receive reviews please try to change your home and bonus location.
As @zackaryah recommended seems South Korea still working and you can check up the following thread Review Locations
Thank you so much for your reply. I wouldn’t know how to change my location. And, is that allowed??
It’s more than allowed! It’s announced by Niantic personally :
And it’s not as if this is the first time we have had these issues with challenges, previous ones have had similar problems, so they have had plenty of time to ensure this one runs more smoothly.
As usual it seems that they aren’t that bothered, the whole thing seems poorly implemented. I know several people who were looking forward to taking part and are now just quitting in frustration.
Thank you sooo much!
This lag is horrible! Even when I tap on “my nominations” it takes +5 minutes to load! I’m glad I got my 500 reviews, but if I got like 50 right now I would quit instantly.
If feel you! This app was designed very bad, I will say it because others seem to ignore it and just patronize players that encounter these issues.
To be clear no one is ignoring the issues that all wayfinders are having.
The practical advice is to try moving location.
Es ist nicht möglich, habe ständig über mehrere Minuten den Ladebildschirm oder eine Fehlermeldung so ist es einfach nicht möglich die 500 Bewertungen zu erreichen.
Without any planning, just sheer luck I managed to get the majority of the 500 required before the major slowdowns but I do feel for those that are struggling.
I was able to get the last ones required with the recommendation of changing the Bonus Location and was able to stick to places without a language barrier.
Maybe Niantic will see the upset this has caused and make an announcement. My suggestion would be to add an extra target in the personal goals such as 100, 200, 300, 500 so those struggling will get the stated top tier at 300 but those that managed to reach 500 still get a little something extra…
Just an opinion…
