Thank you. So the challenge didn’t start yet ? Do you know it works is in game editing?
The challenge hasn’t started yet. It will begin at 12pm (PDT) which works out to be 9pm in South Africa.
In terms of the edits we will receive more information once the challenge starts, so we just have to hang tight till then.

Would you consider a popup message in each game to players eligible to join the challenge? Might be a good way to spread the word beyond those already engaged?

I’ll definitely bring it up to the team. I cannot commit on its feasibility at the moment without discussing it with all stakeholders.

It would be a good thing to do in future even if it goes into the comms plan for the next challenge rather than this one.

Hey there - @26thDoctor - personally and professionally from me. I enjoy your snark and comic relief like 97.5% of the time. but there is that 2.5% I feel you cross the line with those that are trying to help us have a fun and workable game to play.
I completely understand you don’t agree with Niantic, PoGo and the Wayfarer team all the time. And that’s fine, you are entitled to your opinion, and I hope you feel safe to express it.
What you should also realize is sometimes our words and snark can make others in this community feel less safe to speak their own opinions and truths. That’s not ok for one person’s idea to trample on others.
I say this because I think a lot of what you say needs to be said. Niantic like all companies with live service games, needs to accountable to it’s player base. But the player base needs to understand there are limitations to what they can do also.
When you post your nominations, they look sharpe! I’d love to come across the pond and have a pint with you and go out exploring for new interesting points of interest.
My ask of you (not knowing you well at all) is
- Please don’t damper all of the threads on the channel.
- Look at the bigger picture of what the WF has to deal with
- No personal attacks on people or their character
- Try to make this a place new people want to come and get legit help
