I love seeing how other people manage their bags. I actually didn’t even look at the rewards. I just like scoring high at things so would want to get to top tier regardless of the reward
Could it be that there is no Progress Bar in the personal Profil? I can not see how much is to do for the different tiers. Will it be implemented or do we have to guess?
Tintino didn’t include them and Ingress players can’t do location category edits, in addition to ML not picking them up (to my knowledge) so I think not.
PoGo-only explorers are extremely disadvantaged in this challenge vs. Ingress-only.
What’s the maximum edit radius for a text edit in Ingress? 80 thousand meters?
In Pokemon Go, you must be within 30 meters to submit.
Better make yourself comfortable and ensure decent lighting in the field, because Hold and Edit don’t seem to working properly at the moment (at least, for me).
Some things are extremely asymmetrical between the two platforms. It wouldn’t be the end of the world if there was a small benefit for PoGo edit reviewers.
I think it’s 50km, at least that’s the range I am using on Comms to see nearby things to edit.
Then at the same time, some things aren’t such as no Duplicates Map and the Location Category thing mentioned. Oh, plus there’s no choosing of Categories when nominating in Ingress.
So… I just realized I actually did this, truly by accident though! I submitted a description edit today to fix some grammar and rephrase it a bit to make it more of a complete thought and less a couple random facts.
I just looked at my submission, and I carried over a punctuation mistake.
Since it confused some people: For this challenge, only Title, Description, Location and Photo edits count. The rest in this graphic is irrelevant to the challenge.
Yes, the two games are not Wayfarer equal, and this challenge is shockingly Ingress weighted. But to Niantic, it’s about Machine Learning - it doesn’t matter where the edits come from.
Pogo Trainers: Maybe a good strategy is to get at least 10 edits before Nov 13 - and encourage others to do as much as possible, so both the community awards will be bigger.
And then enjoy (hopefully) better and faster AI resolutions of edits.
For the differences list: Trainers can see ALL waypoints when nominating; Agents can’t.
