Why my submission keeps getting rejected

Hello, so I have been trying to get a historical spot submitted as a pokestop. I have already tried my appeals for the month, but to no avail. The spot consist of 3 gravestones that got left behind when the cemetery of scarce grease Alabama got moved many, many years ago. So yes it used to be a cemetery, but no longer is. The gravestones are what got left behind. So making it a historical marker of scarce grease. So what do I do.

Hello and welcome,

Grave sites tend to fall under sensitive locations, and there is additional clarification on cemeteries and other sensitive locations here:

Just from the little I can see, the photos do make it look like a cemetery still. I also find the photos to be poorly orientated.

If you still feel like this meets criteria, feel free to provide the nomination’s full info, including title/description/location/supporting info/photos, and we’ll be more than happy to take a look.

I have tried a similar nomination where the rest of the graveyard was relocated and I felt the stones left of some of the founding families were more of historical importance than a sensitive area. But the community disagreed, and I abandoned the attempt. They still are gravestones, and still deserve respect, and probably would not be accepted as a Wayspot unless you can prove they are a tourist destination or something like that.

Scarce Grease is a heckuva name…

Some background research may help to make the nomination more interesting. Who are the people buried here, and what is their connection to the area? Why were these gravestones left behind? Does the place have a specific name that you can use instead? If it’s not an active graveyard then you should add that in the submission… I’d also maybe try to avoid “graveyard” or “cemetery” in the description so as not to trigger the AI.
