So. The playground is back. So it must have been acknowledged that it was wrongly removed. But it is no longer a gym. How do I get the status re-instated?
You will need to try with Pokemon go support. Unfortunately that is not something wayfarer can help you with.

Absolute joke in my opinion.
Wayfarer is the one approving the removal falsely
Wayfarer acknowledges it apparently, becuase it is ALREADY back 3 days later.
Now I have to go beg with GO support to get it fixed? it’s such nonsensical ways

@NianticLC Because the Wayspot is restored, I would also like it restored to it’s initial status, before it’s wrongly done removal. Who do I need to talk to? Could you point me in the right direction. Pokémon GO in-game support has proven to not be the right place.

That’s out of the scope of Wayfarer. You’d need to use Pokémon GO support. I appreciate you’ve tried and they’ve probably not given you the answer you wanted but that is the right place.

No, Pokémon GO support is useless and won’t do anything. I’ve already tried. I would like to get in touch with someone who can control this. I can explain them every single detail of the situation.
I understand you are in a very frustrating situation. The Wayfarer Team has been helpful in restoring the wayspot.
However that is as far as they can go.
I appreciate that by comparison the contact you are having ( or rather not having ) with the Pokémon Go team is not as helpful, but that is the team you need to talk to. They are the ones that decide on whether an imported wayspot whether it was previously imported or not, can be a stop or a gym.
there must be someone on Niantic end who could press a button, or edit a piece of code to re-instate this poi’s original status. That someone must be on GO and/or Wayfarer team. In-game support in GO will NEVER help me on this case. This forum is much more helpful. GO support is very bad.
It would be on the Pokémon GO team, but I don’t know if they would even restore a location back to a gym in this situation.
There’s the same number of PokéStops presumably, so there’s going to be the same number of gyms, it’s just located elsewhere so if I were on the Pokémon GO team looking at it, a gym exists in that location. Job done.

At the risk of sounding repetitive, we do not have the tools to control what type of in-game location a Wayspot becomes once reinstated. This process is completely automated and free of any manual control.
While we are not able to fulfill your request to add back this location as a Gym at this time, we recognize the disappointment this may have caused and hope you continue to seek out adventures at other PokéStops and Gyms in your surrounding communities.

First of all, thank you for your response.
A different gym in my neighbourhood had disappeared in the past and it has been re-instated as a GYM. That means you DO have the tools. I can send you the Gym name and coordinates if needed. Could also DM me to discuss this further if you’d be open to that.

A Wayspot could return as a gym if it still met all the conditions. In this case, the conditions are not met and it cannot return as a gym. This was explained to you early on.

In the previous case, a year - a year and a half ago; it was possible. What had become the replacement gym was reverted to a PokéStop and the dissapeared gym had returned as a Gym.
That can happen if the number of pokestops in a cell is around a critical number, which could then result in flipping that specific one by the proper synchronization rules.
As stated multiple times now, Wayfarer is game agnostic and cannot impact how games ingest wayspots. Everyone here is trying to help you, unfortunately no one has the power to grant your wish.
